Electronic Premier League-Tape Ball Cricket Tournament

Jamshoro, March 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):An extra-curricular activity Electronic Premier League-Tape Ball Cricket Tournament was organized by Department of Electronic Engineering, MUET, and Jamshoro on 23rd and 24th February 2022 at the ground of Mehran UET Jamshoro. Eight Teams (one team from each section of current Electronic Batches) participated in the tournament. In first round, matches were played based on knock out system on 23rd Feb. Teams from 18ES-I, 18ES-II, 20ES-I and 20ES-II were qualified for the semi-finals. T

His two semi-finals and final match were played on 24th Feb on the same ground. The 1st and 2nd semi-finals were played between 18ES-sec1 vs 20ES-sec2 and 18ES-sec2 vs 20ES-sec1. The chairperson and faculty members of the department witnessed the matches and encouraged the students in the ground.

Final match of the tournament was played between the 20ES-sec1 and 20ES-sec2. Team 20ES-sec1 was the winner of the tournament.

The concluding ceremony was held on 25th Feb 2022 at Department of Electronic Engineering. The conclusion ceremony was attended by faculty members along with students of ES department. Prof Dr. Arbab Nighat, chairperson ES department welcomed all participated teams and faculty members. She said that these types of physical activities keep the students physically fit and mentally fresh hence helping them to focus on their further studies.

She showed her continuous support on organizing such events for the students of ES department. Besides this, she also acknowledged the efforts of Engr. Aamir Ali Patoli and Engr. Shoaib Hassan Khaskheli for organizing such event on departmental level.

At the end, Trophies and medals were distributed among the members of winning team (20ES-sec1), runner up team (20ES-sec2), Player of the tournament (Amjad Ali), Player of Final Match (Arif Ali), commentators of the event and volunteers as well.

Postponement of GRE Subject Type Test for PhD Degree Programs

Jamshoro, March 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):This is for the information of all the candidates who have been issued slip to appear in GRE Subject Type Test for admission in PhD under Mechanical and Energy System Engineering Programs of the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies are informed that their test has been rescheduled.

The test will now be conducted on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 3:00 pm in Makhdoom Dawood Hall, Old Admin Block, of this University. Whereas, the schedule for the test of Structural Engineering will be announced later on.

However, the schedule of the test for the rest of the PhD programs is unchanged. The test schedule has already been published on the official websites of the University. All the GAT Passed candidates are not required to appear in the above test, if they are not interested. All the concerned committee members are requested to make their availability convenient at the test center. Your cooperation in this regard will highly be appreciated.

Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal department of Government of Punjab requested for CUST Volunteers

Islamabad, March 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):Mr. Muhammad Akram, Deputy Director, Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Department, Rawalpindi Division visited VIS-CUST on March 1, 2022 to discuss collaboration moot with VIS-CUST. He requested for volunteers to engage them in different community service work in Social Welfare department. The department of social welfare is a very old partner of VIS-CUST and MoU was signed back in March 2017.

A healthy discussion took place between VIS Directorate and Social Welfare department. The Directorate of VIS emphasis on renewal of MoU which is instructed by worthy Vice Chancellor of CUST Prof. Dr. M. Mansoor Ahmed. It was decided that MoU will be renewed in next couple of days Inshallah then volunteers of VIS-CUST will start their community services in summer 2022. Maybe around 45 volunteers of VIS-CUST will take place in different intuitions of social welfare department of the Rawalpindi division for community services.

A Memorandum of Understandings Signed Between VIS-CUST and Al-Hijrah School and College Ziarat Balochistan

Islamabad, March 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):Executive Director Al-Hijrah Schools Trust Brother Abdur Rahman Usmani visited VIS-CUST on Wednesday 02 March, 2022 on special invitation of VIS Directorate to sign formal MoU with VIS-CUST. The Directorate welcomed delegate of Al-Hijrah Schools Trust in the premises.

This is a second visit of delegates of Al-Hijrah Schools Trust, prior to this visit Chairman Al-Hijrah Schools Trust Ustad Abdul Karim Saqib visited VIS-CUST Directorate in November last year, to discuss ways of cooperation and coordination with VIS-CUST Directorate.

Executive Director Al-Hijrah Schools Trust Brother Abdur Rahman Usmani presented good wishes from Chairman as well as management of Al-Hijrah Schools Trust for VIS-CUST Directorate. The VIS Directorate thanked to Brother Abdur Rahman Usmani on his valuable remarks for VIS-CUST.

Later on, MoU signing ceremony was held, Executive Director Al-Hijrah Schools Trust Brother Abdur Rahman Usmani and Mr. Naeemullah Khan Deputy Director VIS-CUST signed on MoU document and it was decided that around 10 volunteers of VIS-CUST join Al-Hijrah Schools Trust in each semester, six in its Islamabad office and four in Al-Hijrah residential School and college Ziarat Balochistan.

Brother Abdur Rahman Usmani requested to the University management to offer some scholarships for needy and brilliant students of Al-Hijrah School and College in the University, VIS Directorate promised with Al-Hijrah to present the request to university management for approval. Finally, both sides agreed on to strengthen cooperation and collaboration between them.

Inter-Departmental Cricket Championship at National Textile University Faisalabad

Faisalabad, March 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):The opening ceremony of inter departmental cricket championship was held at Cricket ground of NTU on March 07, 2022. Dr. Muhammad Hashim, Assistant Professor at Faisalabad Business School, and Mr. Farooq Jamal, Assistant Professor inaugurated the Championship by hitting the ball. Mr. Imran Ali and Mr. Pervaiz Akhter, Sports Officers, were present on this occasion.
