‫ایور کیئر گروپ نے صحت کی دیکھ بھال میں عدم مساوات کے فرق کو ختم کرنے میں مدد کے لیے ایور کیئر فاؤنڈیشن کا آغاز کردیا

اسلام آباد، پاکستان، 15 مارچ، 2022/پی آرنیوزوائر/ — ایور کیئر گروپ نے آج ایور کیئر فاؤنڈیشن کے آغاز کا اعلان کیا، ایک غیر منافع بخش تنظیم جو افریقہ اور جنوبی افریقہ کے کم اور درمیانی آمدنی والے تمام ممالک میں سب کے لیے مساوی صحت اور میں صحت کے مزید لچکدار نظام کی ترقی کے لیے کام کر رہی ہے۔

کم اور متوسط آمدنی والے ممالک صحت کی دیکھ بھال میں ناکافی سرمایہ کاری کا شکار رہتے ہیں، جس کی وجہ اکثر انتہائی تناؤ اور بوجھ والے نظام ہوتے ہیں جو، خاص طور پر وبائی امراض کے اس دور میں مریضوں کی ضروریات کو پورا کرنے سے قاصر رہتے ہیں ۔ ورلڈ بینک کے مطابق، اگر موجودہ رجحانات جاری رہے تو 2030 تک 5 بلین تک لوگ صحت کی دیکھ بھال تک رسائی حاصل کرنے سے قاصر ہوں گے جب کہ 56 فیصد آبادی عالمی سطح پر دیہی علاقوں میں صحت کی دیکھ بھال کی خاطر خواہ کوریج سے محروم رہے گی۔

Evercare Group launches Evercare Foundation to help bridge the gap in inequality in healthcare

– The Foundation will provide long-term solutions to improve healthcare access in Africa and South Asia, while contributing to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, March 15, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Evercare Group today announced the launch of the Evercare Foundation, a non-profit organization working towards equitable health for all and the development of more resilient health systems across the low- and middle-income countries in Africa and South Africa.

The Foundation will serve as the philanthropic arm of the Evercare Group and will build on the footprint of Evercare Group of 29 hospitals, 13 clinics, 88 diagnostic centres and have access to 11,400 caregivers, serving over 3.3 million people in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Kenya.

Speaking at the 18^th Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development Conference & Exhibition (DIHAD), Massimiliano Colella, CEO of Evercare said: “The Foundation presents another key avenue through which we can continue to deliver meaningful change and positive impact to traditionally underserved communities. Through focused partnerships and deliberate investments, the Evercare Foundation will continue to build sustainable development across our areas of operation.”

Low- and middle-income countries continue to suffer from insufficient investment in healthcare, leading to often highly strained and burdened systems that are unable to keep up with demands of patients, especially in these times of the pandemic. According to the World Bank, if current trends continue, up to 5 billion people will be unable to access health care by 2030 with 56% of the population lacking sufficient health-care coverage in rural areas globally.

Joumana Atwani, Director of Evercare Foundation said: “The Foundation is driven by an ambition to create long-term positive social change for vulnerable communities who have a fundamental right to good health and wellbeing. Through the Evercare Foundation, we aim to focus on communities who have limited or no access to quality healthcare.”

To realize our vision of ‘a world with equitable health for all’, the Foundation will primarily focus on women and children – with priority being on women and girls’ adolescent health and wellbeing, including ante and post-natal care, screening for non-communicable diseases such as breast and cervical cancer. In children’s health, the Foundation will focus on treatment and rehabilitation for congenital birth defects and trauma related conditions and children related disease prevention and immunization.

One example of the Foundation’s focus on supporting children is the story of baby Alvin, a 10-month-old baby from Kenya who suffers from down syndrome and was admitted to Evercare’s Nairobi Women’s Hospital with a severe chest infection. The Foundation leveraged the Group’s integrated medical corridor and was transferred to Care Hospital in India for life saving open-heart surgery, free of charge. We are pleased to report that baby Alvin’s operation was a complete success, and he is doing well.

Another example is of 5-year-old Abdul Rehman from Pakistan, who was born with congenital deafness and whose family could not afford the treatment. Surgeons at Evercare Hospital Lahore successfully inserted a cochlear implant free of cost and now Abdul can hear for the time and able to attend school.

The Foundation will equally invest in initiatives related to human resources in health and leveraging the Evercare Group’s integrated healthcare corridor to strengthen health systems by supporting clinical trials and complex healthcare cases across borders.

Khairpur, March 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur hosted a Farewell Reception in the honour of Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ali Junejo, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences on attaining his superannuation. Speaking to the participants, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said that Professor never retires. The academic, research and administrative services of Dr. Mumtaz Ali Junejo are commendable. He always played constructive role for the development of the University.

The teacher is a role model in the society because he preaches excellent ideas and plays a dynamic role in the society. Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ali Jenejo said teaching is a noble profession so I accepted this profession. I always tried to promote the culture of merit. I have produced number of talented students rendering their services in the society.

He also appreciated the good will gesture of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto who has set good trend to host the farewell reception in the honour of retiring Professors. Women Educational and Entrepreneurship Fair-2022 held

Khairpur, March 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Women Educational and Entrepreneurship Fair-2022 was held at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur jointly organized by the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur in collaboration with Marvi Rural Development Organization (MRDO), Sukkur. Mr. Nawab Ali Wassan Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh and Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur jointly inaugurated the fair.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Nawab Ali Wassan said woman is a courageous character in our society. Mohtarma Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was a role model woman of international stature who was committed for the protection of women rights, constitution and democracy. It is need of the time to promote the women education especially in the rural background where the majority of the women are deprived from the right of education.

He said education is compulsory for women because literate women could play constructive role in the society. Mr. Wassan said if you want progress and development, you must encourage the women to participate in the every walk of the life. He said I am extremely thankful to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto who invited me as chief guest. I am extremely impressed from the handicraft work of the women who set their stalls.

Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said MRDO is striving for women empowerment. They have provided a viable platform to acknowledge the work of the women which has been displayed at the stalls. This event will encourage the girls’ students to start their work to earn their butter and bread at home. Dr. Ibupoto said this event will provide a training opportunity to the women as well as girls student.

He said we have to encourage the girls to get education, training and capacity building. Dr. Ibupoto accorded special thanks to Mr. Nawab Ali Wassan for sparing his precious time to grace the event. The Vice Chancellor also appreciated the efforts of Ms. Saira Solangi Program Coordinator, MRDO and Mr. Salman Ali, Program Manager MRDO for organizing this educational and entrepreneurship fair.

Ms. Sughra Solangi, Chief Executive Officer, MRDO briefed the audience about the achievements of the MRDO. She said we are committed to provide education, trainings and capacity building of the women of the rural background. We have conducted different trainings for capacity building of women. Ms. Saira Solangi briefed the audience about the different projects being executed in Ghotki, Sukkur and Khairpur Districts. She said our priority is to train the women of the rural setup to start their small businesses so they improve their lifestyle in the society.

Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Focal Person of the Fair said it is high time to empower the women on economic front, political participation, right of vote and right of education. He also appreciated the efforts and patronage of Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto for providing a viable platform for the girls’ students.

Earlier, the shields were distributed among the prominent women activists who are rendering their services for women uplifting. Ms. Pushpa Kumari, Ms. Marvi Awan, Ms. Shaista Khoso, Ms. Saima Anwar, Ms. Rabia Mirza, Ms. Sehrish Khokhar, Ms. Sanam Naz, Ms. Shamshad Soomro and others got shields and appreciation awards.

Welcome program organized in English Department of University of Turbat

Turbat, March 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):A colourful mega-event has been organized to welcome the newcomers to the Department of English, University of Turbat. All faculty members of the English Department were present at the event. The senior students exhibited high performances by delivering wonderful speeches, dramatic performances, creative Poetry, melodious singing, and Tableau to celebrate the memorable event of welcoming the new intake in the English Department. The entertaining performances of the talented students amused everyone present there. The newcomers were also briefed about the University of Turbat, and the Department of English.

In the end, Head of Department Mr. Amjed Habib delivered his welcome speech and warmly welcomed the newcomers in the English Department. He strictly emphasized the new intake to maintain discipline and stressed the students to make relentless efforts in their studies. Dr. Shah Mir (Assistant Professor) also welcomed the newcomers in his speech and advised them to work diligently and sincerely.

Mr. Mazhar Ali (Lecturer) while welcoming the new students in his speech emphasized the need for research and innovation. The speakers thanked Worthy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad for his support and encouragement in organizing such a creative event in the university.
