University of Punjab to Host PhD Defense on Media and Violence Perception

Lahore, The Institute of Applied Psychology at the University of Punjab has announced the upcoming public defense and viva voce examination of Ms. Sherin Gul’s PhD dissertation. Scheduled for May 29, 2024, the dissertation titled “Development and Validation of a Measure of Cognitive Abilities: Media, Marginal Difference and Impulse Buying Decisions” explores the intersection of psychology and consumer behavior in the context of media influence.

According to University of the Punjab, the defense will take place at 9:00 AM in the Committee Room of the Institute of Applied Psychology. Prof. Dr. Salma Ghulam, who supervised Ms. Gul’s research, will oversee the proceedings. The event is part of a broader effort by the university to engage academic and student communities in critical discussions that bridge theoretical research and practical applications in psychology.
