Punjab University to Host PhD Defense on Psychological Impact of Disasters

Lahore, The Institute of Applied Psychology at the University of Punjab is set to host the PhD public defense and viva voce examination for Ms. Hafiza Fahria Masood. The event, scheduled for May 24, 2024, will focus on her dissertation titled “Psychosocial and Clinical Determinants of Perceived Quality of Life in Breast Cancer Survivors,” a study that assesses factors influencing life quality post-cancer.

According to University of the Punjab, the defense will be held at 10:00 AM in the Committee Room, Institute of Applied Psychology. The dissertation, supervised by Dr. Fatima Kamran, explores significant psychosocial and clinical aspects that affect the well-being of individuals recovering from breast cancer. The research aims to contribute valuable insights into the psychological support and interventions necessary for improving survivors’ quality of life.
