Lahore, January 26, 2023 (PPI-OT):The meeting of the Central General Council of Pakistan Muslim League was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Election Commission Jahangir A. Jhojha in which all four provincial officials participated. In the meeting, Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain was elected unopposed as the central president and Senator Kamil Ali Agha was elected as the central secretary general while Chaudhry Pervez Elahi was elected as the provincial president unopposed. Chaudhry Pervez Elahi nominated former provincial minister Bao Rizwan as the general secretary of Punjab.
Ch Pervez Elahi said that after Allah, he is deeply grateful to Imran Khan who chose him as the Chief Minister of Punjab. He said that if the assemblies had completed their term, even the N-League would not be seen here today, three or four people are sitting with Imran Khan, they used to say break the assembly. Funds were given for development works in Mian Aslam Iqbal and Mian Mahmood-ul-Rashid’s constituencies in Lahore. Imran Khan is still the most popular leader of Pakistan after Quaid-e-Azam, from the time of Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi till today we have seen many such political situations but we are not going to panic.
He said that when the PML-N members meet us, they say that we are thankful that your government ended, otherwise you would not have left us to go anywhere. He said that Rasikh Elahi played an important role in building Khatam-ul-Nabiyeen (PBUH) University, Imran Khan has also done a lot of work regarding Khatam-e-Nubawwat (PBUH). He said that Nazra Quran is being taught from first to fifth class and Quran with translation from sixth to tenth class. He said Shahbaz Sharif knows nothing except begging, education is not spread merely by distribution of laptops, we have added column of Khatam-e-Nubawwat (PBUH) in Nikah Namah, in my tenure atta was cheaper.
He said that whatever Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi is doing is not his job, he should only conduct free and fair elections. He said that according to the constitution of Pakistan, the governor of Punjab should announce the election schedule, Mohsin Naqvi has a job of two and a half months and then he has to return home. Hassan Askari had done a good job as caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab
Ch Parvez Elahi said that our judiciary is independent, after Allah, our judiciary is doing justice, otherwise these people would have put an end to lawlessness. He said that PML-N members are talking wrongly against the judge of the Supreme Court. He said that we have to walk side by side with PTI. Allah has a special favour on Imran Khan. People say that this work is wrong but the same work becomes good for Imran Khan.
Later, Ehsan Nasir from Balochistan, Kashif Tarkai from KPK, Moeezul Hasan from Sindh, Mian Imran Masood, Abdullah Yusuf, Bao Rizwan and Qamar Hayat Kathia presented the resolution. Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Chaudhry Musa Elahi, Mian Imran Masood, Hafiz Ammar Yasir, Chaudhry Ehsanul Haq, Shujahat Nawaz Ajnala, Ehsan Nasir from Balochistan, Kashif Tarkai from KPK, Moeezul Hasan from Sindh, Azhar Khan Yousafzai, Mian Munir, Qamar Hayat Kathia, Dr. Zain Bhatti, Malik Shakeel Sikandar, Makhdoom Babar, Ch Maqsood Gujjar, Waqas Hasan Moakal, Abdul Rashid Booti, Khalid Asghar Ghurral, Ch Riaz Asghar, Zulqarnain Sahi, Khawaja Waqarul Hasan, Khadija Farooqui, Kanwal Naseem, Majida Zaidi and other PML leaders participated.
