Abbas Ali reprimanded for showing dissent in National U19 Championship

Lahore, October 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Whites’ Abbas Ali has been reprimanded for showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during his side’s three-day match against Balochistan Whites in the ongoing National U19 Championship 2021-22 at Sialkot’s Jinnah Stadium.

Abbas committed a level 1 offence when he showed excessive disappointment after his appeal for a catch at slip was turned down after consultation between the two on-field umpires and said the fielder had taken a ‘clear catch’. As such, he was found guilty of violating Article 2.8 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Player and Player Support Personnel.

Abbas accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Ghulam Mustafa. The charges were levelled by on-field umpires Nasar Khan and Kamran Khalil.

Northern fined for maintaining slow over-rate

Lahore, October 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):Northern have been fined PKR10, 000 for maintaining a slow over-rate in their Saturday evening’s match against Balochistan in the ongoing National T20 2021-22.

Northern were found an over short of their target after taking into account time allowances and, as such, were charged under Article 2.22 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which deals with the minimum over-rate offences.

Northern captain Umar Amin accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Ali Naqvi. The charges were levelled by on-field umpires Shozab Raza and Faisal Khan Afridi and third umpire Rashid Riaz.
Northern – in the match played at the Gaddafi Stadium – defeated Balochistan by five wickets and secured a semi-final berth.

Islamabad, October 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):The team of VIS-CUST participated in conference of Strive Trust held on October 7, 2021 at Serena Hotel, Islamabad. As part of the partnership drive of VIS-CUST, there was a MoU renewal ceremony between VIS-CUST and Strive Trust in the presence of Senator, Mrs. Sehar Kamran, DG Health, Islamabad Dr. Hassan Orooj, PTI MNA, Mr. Lal Chand, Pharmaceutical company, Roche and different NGO’s. A long track record of voluntary services to society show that Strive Trust is one of the most appropriate partners for VIS-CUST.

Senator, Mrs. Sehar Kamran applauded the efforts of management of CUST towards betterment of society and present shield and medal to Vice Chancellor, CUST Prof. Dr. M. 36% of Pakistanis consider the threat of coronavirus to be exaggerated – a 19% decrease since the previous wave in July: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan

Islamabad, October 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 36% of Pakistanis consider the threat of coronavirus to be exaggerated – a 19% decrease since the previous wave in July.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “To what extent do you agree/disagree that the threat of Coronavirus is being exaggerated?” In response to this question, 37% completely disagreed, 18% somewhat disagreed, 16% somewhat agreed, 12% completely agreed while 7% did not know. 2% did not provide any response.
