Zone-VI Greens Triumph in Karachi Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament

Karachi, The Zone-VI Greens emerged victorious in the Khansortium Karachi Region Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament, narrowly defeating Zone-VI Blues by two wickets in a gripping final at the KCCA Stadium.

According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the prize distribution ceremony was marked by the presence of Syed Mustafa Kamal, former City Nazim and Senator, who served as the chief guest. Kamal lauded the Regional Cricket Association Karachi for its role in fostering cricket in the area, particularly under the guidance of Nadeem Omar, the association’s president. He pledged continued support for cricket development and announced plans to reclaim cricket grounds currently under unauthorized control for further promotion of the sport in Karachi.

During the ceremony, Kamal presented the winner’s trophy to Ram Ravi, captain of the Zone-VI Greens, and the runner-up trophy to Hurair Shahid, captain of the Zone-VI Blues. Individual awards were also distributed, with Habibullah receiving Best Batsman, Hasan Bin Shahab named Best Bowler, M. Afzal as Player of the Tournament, and Ziaullah securing the Man of the Final Match award.

The event was attended by various dignitaries including Tabish Jawed, Vice President of the association, Ali Hussain, Azam Khan, and Khalid Nafees, alongside former Test cricketers Khurram Manzoor and Touseef Ahmed, as well as other local officials and young cricketers.
