Karachi, September 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):Unprecedented flash floods caused by historic monsoon rains in Pakistan have affected more than 33 million, over 15% of the country’s 220 million population. Pakistan Red Crescent is working hard to reach as many flood affected areas as possible and provide relief to the flood victims.
Today, Mr. Hitoshi Yamaguchi the Managing Director of YKK Pakistan Private Limited visited the Sindh Branch of Pakistan Red Crescent in Karachi and met with Chairman PRC-Sindh Samar Ali Khan, Senior Vice Chairman Raffique Ahmed Jafferi, Provincial Secretary Kanwar Waseem, Treasurer Dr. Majid Alvi, and Managing Committee Member Dr. Syed Ali Warsi.
Mr. Hitoshi Yamaguchi was very impressed with the flood relief efforts of the Sindh Branch of the Pakistan Red Crescent. He donated 5 million rupees on behalf of YKK Pakistan to Pakistan red Crescent for flood-affected people in Sindh and Punjab. Mr. Hitoshi Yamaguchi also donated Rs. 200,000/- from his own to the PRC-Sindh for flood affectees.
Chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent Sindh, Mr. Samar Ali Khan appreciated Mr. Hitoshi Yamaguchi and YKK Pakistan for their generous donation to help the flood affected families. The Chairman urged the business tycoons, philanthropists and donors to make maximum donations to the Pakistan Red Crescent for the flood-affected families so that the needy can be helped in time.
