Lahore, The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore’s Vets Care Club conducted a seminar on “Foot and Mouth (FMD) Epidemiological Updates and the Criteria to Choose Effective Vaccines In Practice” at Ravi Campus Pattoki. The seminar focused on the latest developments in the epidemiology of FMD and strategies for selecting effective vaccines.

According toUniversity of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the event featured Dr. Mohammad Alnahrawy, Technical and Marketing Manager for the IMETA Region, as the guest speaker. Dr. Alnahrawy discussed various aspects of FMD, including its transmission, causes, vaccination strategies, vaccine failures, and recent epidemiological updates. Another speaker, Dr. Tmer Saddac, provided insights into the operations of Boehringer Ingelheim both nationally and internationally.

The seminar also included career guidance for students by Dr. Ghulam Mehboob, Managing Director of Saadat International, advising students on career choices and fields of interest. The event was attended by Prof Dr. Saima from the Faculty of Animal Production and Technology, Prof Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani from the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Prof Dr. Hassan Saleem, and numerous students.
