Lahore, The University of the Punjab is set to host the public defense and viva voce examination of Ms. Wajiha Kanwal’s Ph.D. thesis on May 16, 2024. Scheduled for 10:00 AM at the Institute of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, the defense will focus on her research entitled “Serum 25(OH)D-CD4 and Viral Load in Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infected Population of Punjab, Pakistan.”

According to University of the Punjab, Ms. Kanwal’s study under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Abdul Rehman examines the interplay between vitamin D levels and HIV progression markers such as CD4 counts and viral loads.
