SICOLLAPT Proceedings-Day 3

Wah Cantt, March 18, 2022 (PPI-OT): Department of English, University of Wah inaugurated Day-3 of SICOLLAPT (Second International Conference on Linguistics, Literature and Pedagogical Turns) on 16 March, 2022. Dr. Rasib Mehmood, Chairperson, Department of English, delivered an opening speech and restated the objectives of the Conference while acknowledging both national and international participation.

 

Dr. Patricia Jabbeh Wesley from Penn State University, USA, highlighted the influence of African oral tradition and motifs in her poetry. Dr. Meretguly Gurbanov from Dowletmammet Azady Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, Turkmenistan shared a range of strategies and practices from various ELT practitioners and pointed towards their relative implications. Dr. Azadeh Mehrpouyan from University of Pune, India also enlightened the audience about linguistic turns that evolved the philosophy of language.

 

Dr. Iren Boyarkina from University of Roma Tre Italy and Dr. Azadeh Mehrpouyan from University of Pune, India also enlightened the audience about the role of comparative literature in cultural feminism. Dr. Iman Al Khalidi from Humber College Canada discussed the multi-level challenges in the context of EFL higher education through flipped learning with her insightful session.

 

The online and physical sessions ran concurrently with both national and international speakers and audience. Prof. Dr Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor University of Wah graced the closing ceremony of the Conference as Chief Guest and expressed his gratitude to all the participants for their fruitful and inclusive interaction and contribution. In the end, a group photo of all the presenters and organizers was captured.
