Webinar on “Crafting Successful Dissertations in English Literature, Language and Language Teaching: A Multidimensional Approach to Research, Writing, and Professional Development”

Lahore, April 11, 2023 (PPI-OT):Department of English-UW in order to promote research culture and update the students and faculty members about recent trends in research methods organized a webinar titled “Crafting Successful Dissertations in English Literature, Language, and Language Teaching: A Multidimensional Approach to Research, Writing, and Professional Development” on 05 April 2023.

Dr. Aqsa Atta, Associate Professor and in charge Department of Linguistics and Communications at UMT-Sialkot Campus, was the resource person. In her talk, Dr. Atta emphasized the need to take a multidimensional approach to research and shared practical tips with students on how to structure their dissertations effectively. Prof. Dr. Asim Karim, Chairperson English, and other faculty members appreciated this fruitful and interactive session.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between University of Wah and UW Alumni Association

Lahore, April 08, 2023 (PPI-OT):A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between University of Wah and UW Alumni Association was signed on 31 March 2023. The areas of collaboration include scholarships, internships, industrial projects, extra-curricular events, and university linkages. The ceremony was attended by Registrar UW, Brig. Motivational Talk on “Fazail e Ramadan”

Lahore, April 08, 2023 (PPI-OT):Literary and Debating Society-UW under the patronage of Directorate of Student Affairs, arranged a motivational talk on “Fazail e Ramadan” on 04 April 2023. Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Shoaib, Sr. Lecturer, Department of Islamic and Pakistan Studies, was the guest speaker. In his talk, he highlighted the significance of the holy month of Ramadan, the benefits of Soam, and the positive impact of Ramadan on one’s life. This prolific and motivational session is attended by faculty members and students.

Golden Jubilee Celebrations: UW’s Distinction in HEC Declamation Competition 2023

Lahore, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): Literary and Debating Club, University of Wah participated and outshined in “Inter-University Bilingual Declamation Competition-2023,” organized by HEC in connection to the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at HEC, Islamabad on 22 March 2023. It is a matter of immense joy to share that among the students from more than 15 National and International Universities in Pakistan.

Ms. Gulrukh Ali, a student of BS Chemistry secured 3rd position in Urdu Declamation and was awarded a shield and a cash prize of Rs. 15,000/. Heartfelt felicitations to the winner and Literary and Debating Club-UW on this admirable achievement.

E-gaming Competition “NextGen Battle Royal”

Wah Cantt, March 28, 2023 (PPI-OT): UW Computing Society, in collaboration with “UW NextGen Gaming Guild” (UW Gaming and AI Club), organized an E-gaming Competition titled “NextGen Battle Royal” on 21 March 2023. It was held under the supervision of Ms. Isra Naz and Ms. Rida Zehra, faculty In-charge of “UW NextGen Gaming Guild,” and “Computing Society”.

The E-gaming competition aimed at providing fun for the students and testing their gaming skills. A large number of students from COMSATS University, Islamabad, Wah Campus, UW, and nearby colleges zealously participated in this tournament that featured three games: FIFA, Call of Duty (CoD), and Tekken 7. In the end, Prof. Dr. Wazir Zada Khan, Dean, Computer Science, awarded prizes to the winners.

Internship at Read Pakistan

Lahore, March 28, 2023 (PPI-OT): Ms. Rida Zaheer, a student of MS Finance, Department of Management Sciences, has been offered an internship opportunity through Project G-Power by Read Pakistan. Read Pakistan is a non-profit organization working to promote literacy and entrepreneurship in Pakistan.

This program aims to provide opportunities for female graduates to gain valuable experience in their field of study and enhance their career prospects. She is truly an inspiration for the other female students at the University of Wah.
