Lahore, October 14, 2021 (PPI-OT):US charge d’ affaires Angela Aggeler along with a delegation calls on Acting Governor Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at the Governor House here. Federal Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi, Members of the National Assembly Salik Hussain and Hussain Elahi also participated in the meeting, while the US delegation included US Consul General in Lahore William K. Makaneole, Political Officer Khatijah Corey and Political Specialist Sadaf Saad.
During the meeting, bilateral relations, situation in Afghanistan and other issues of mutual interest were discussed in detail. Acting Governor Punjab Ch Parvez Elahi said that Pakistan and the United States have a long-term relationship and the cooperation of the United States with Pakistan in various fields is commendable.
He said that the government is working hard in the field of education and appreciates the cooperation of the United States in this regard. US charge d’ affaires Angela Aggeler said that the United States values Pakistan’s role in the evacuation of Afghan refugees, Pakistan is an important strategic partner of the United States, and we appreciate Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
