Lahore, In a recent ceremony held at the National Hockey Stadium, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar awarded a cash prize of Rs five lakh to Pakistan karate star Rizwan Ali for his victory over India’s Pawan Gupta in the Karate Combat 45 event in Dubai.
According to Sports Board Punjab, Minister Khokhar praised Rizwan’s performance and announced additional support for his training, including world-class coaching from an international expert and access to the best sports facilities in preparation for future competitions. The minister emphasized that these efforts are part of broader initiatives by the Sports Board Punjab to enhance sports development and provide extensive opportunities for young athletes across the province.
Rizwan Ali expressed his gratitude towards the Punjab Government and Minister Khokhar for the recognition and support, underscoring the importance of such encouragement for athletes representing Pakistan on international platforms.
