JUI Leaders Call for Balochistan Government Resignation After Attack


Karachi, In response to the tragic martyrdom of Maulana Muhammad Siddique Mengal in a suicide attack, leaders of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan (JUI) have issued a joint statement demanding the resignation of the Balochistan government for its failure to maintain law and order in the province. The leaders, including Maulana Muhammad Khan Shirani, Hafiz Ahmad Ali, Mufti Hamadullah Madani, and others, expressed deep anger and condemnation over the incident, urging provincial and national authorities to take decisive action against terrorism and ensure the safety of religious figures.



According to Jamiat Ulema Islam, the JUI leaders visited the family of Maulana Muhammad Siddique Mengal to offer condolences and express solidarity. They emphasized the need for foolproof security measures to protect scholars and religious figures from targeted attacks, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by terrorism in Balochistan.



The leaders criticized both the government and security agencies for their failure to address the escalating violence in the region, particularly the targeted killings of religious personalities. They called for the immediate arrest of the perpetrators responsible for such attacks and urged authorities to take stringent measures to combat terrorism effectively.



The incident has reignited concerns over the deteriorating security situation in Balochistan and raised questions about the government’s ability to maintain peace and stability in the province.
