Inflation (48%) is the most commonly cited problem that businesses in Pakistan would like the government to solve, followed by problems caused by the devaluation of the Pakistani Rupee: Gallup Business Confidence Survey Q4 2021

Islamabad, November 22, 2021 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, inflation (48%) is the most commonly cited problem that businesses in Pakistan would like the government to solve, followed by problems caused by the devaluation of the Pakistani Rupee.

A nationally representative sample of businesses across Pakistan was asked the following question, “Which problems affecting your business considerably would you want the government to solve?” In response to this question, 2% said non-availability of international payment services like PayPal, 16% said give some relief to business/financial support/provide interest-free loans, 48% said inflation, 14% said devaluation of Pakistani currency/dollar rates, 13% said inconsistency of government policy/uncooperative govt./make good policies, 6% said coronavirus + lockdown, 3% said improve export policies, 6% said corruption while 3% said political instability. 17% businesses said others and 7% said no issues.
