LAHORE, Professor Dr. Ahmad Salem Muhammad Al-Ameri, the Pro-Chancellor of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), emphasized the critical role of educational institutions in addressing societal needs and adapting to technological advancements during an interactive session at the university’s Faisal Masjid Campus.
According to International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Dr. Al-Ameri, who is also the President of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, articulated the need for educational institutions to evolve swiftly to meet contemporary societal challenges. His comments came during a significant visit to Islamabad, where he is slated to attend the 12th convocation of the university.
In discussions with IIUI vice presidents, deans, directors-general, and directors, he underlined that the depoliticization of educational institutions is essential for yielding constructive outcomes. He encouraged the faculty to foster a generation of highly skilled youth grounded in Islamic teachings and to place a strong emphasis on research as a priority.
Dr. Al-Ameri also touched upon the robust relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, highlighting the commitment of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to maintaining strong bilateral ties.
The session saw IIUI Rector Prof. Dr. Samina Malik expressing gratitude to the Pro-Chancellor for his visit and the sustained support from the Saudi Government and Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University. The IIUI President outlined the university’s strategic goals and contributions to society, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to becoming a leader in global education, and extended thanks to Dr. Al-Ameri for his supportive remarks towards IIUI’s management and initiatives.
