Lahore: A faculty-led startup, BioHealthion, has been launched to deliver a range of health and wellness products through the Healthwire platform, utilizing the scientific expertise and research capabilities of University of Central Punjab (UCP) faculty members.

According to University of Central Punjab, the startup is spearheaded by Dr. Huma Hameed, an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, with collaboration from Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, a Professor in the Faculty of Science and Technology. This initiative is part of UCP's Internal Research Grant Program (IRGP) and aims to address consumer needs by evaluating existing nutraceutical products and developing evidence-based formulations.
