Hyderabad Confronts Alleged Police-Sanctioned Criminal Activities

Hyderabad, The local police are facing allegations of collusion with criminal gangs engaged in extortion and land grabbing at Goth Fazl Laghari Abdul Shakoor Agriculture Farm within the A Section Police Station Latifabad limits. Concerned citizens and spokespersons have reached out to senior government officials seeking intervention and resolution.

According to Jamiat Ulema Islam, Dr. Muhammad Younis Danish, a spokesperson for the organization, has sent letters to high-ranking officials, including the Chief Minister of Sindh and the IG of Sindh Police, detailing the lawlessness in the area. The letters describe how the Goth Fazl Laghari region has reportedly become a safe haven for extortionists, terrorists, and the land mafia, with criminal activities being conducted openly under the alleged protection of the police.

The letters name individuals purportedly leading the criminal operations, including Khamisu Leghari, Manzoor Bhatti, and others, and cite several FIRs that have been lodged against this gang without any subsequent police action. These allegations paint a picture of an area beset by crime, ranging from land grabbing to the open sale of illegal substances and harassment of citizens, all purportedly under the watch of corrupt police officers.

The spokesperson appealed for a thorough cleansing of the police department to eradicate the so-called “black sheep” who are allegedly enabling criminal elements. The communication has called on higher authorities to take serious measures against the gangs and the purported police inaction that has led to a sense of insecurity among the residents of Hyderabad.
