Lahore, The Department of Product and Industrial Design at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, recently held a specialized guest lecture for students of the Master of Product and Industrial Design (MPID) and third-year Bachelor of Product and Industrial Design (BPID). The lecture aimed to enrich students’ understanding of qualitative research methodologies.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the guest speaker, Dr. Abdul Rehman, provided detailed insights into the Thematic Analysis 6-step Model and the use of NVivo for Qualitative Design and analysis. The focus of his lecture was on applying these methodologies to real-world examples in ‘Housing’ and ‘Student Interviews,’ providing practical, applicable knowledge for the students.

The event was organized by Dr.-Ing. Atif Bilal Aslam, Chairman of the Department, and Ms. Asma Khalid, Subject Incharge. Both expressed their gratitude towards Dr. Rehman for his substantial contribution to the academic development of the students, emphasizing the importance of such lectures in bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application.
