43% Pakistanis believe that the usual reason for people being poor in the country is their luck: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan 

Islamabad, November 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 43% Pakistanis believe that the usual reason for people being poor in the country is their luck.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “What is the usual reason for people being poor?” In response to this question, 43% said it is just a matter of luck, 38% said they were born in a poor household, 15% said they don’t earn money through illegitimate means, 13% said they are not educated, 8% said they don’t want to work, 8% said they are jobless/have less income and 4% said they did not go abroad for jobs. 3% did not know or provided no response.
