28% of Pakistanis as compared to the global average of 40% believe that companies are not serious about CSR and are only undertaking it for appearances; 29% of males as compared to 21% of females believe this to be the case: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan 

Islamabad, March 01, 2022 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 28% of Pakistanis as compared to the global average of 40% believe that companies are not serious about CSR and are only undertaking it for appearances.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “Which of the 3 following statements best describes what you think about Companies and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)?” In response to this question, 18% said most companies are seriously operating with CSR and sustainability, 28% said the companies are operating for appearances only, 16% said companies do not care about CSR and 38% didn’t know or gave no response.
