75th Independence Day Celebrations

Faisalabad, August 16, 2022 (PPI-OT): The University of Faisalabad celebrated “75th Independence Day” with patriotic zeal. Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman delivered message to motivate the students and to devote themselves for their studies for the prosperity and stability of their homeland.

Faculty members, administrative staff and large number of students were present on the occasion. Prof Dr (Meritorious) Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman, Rector and Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar unfurled the National Flag.

Dr. Abdul Bari Khan’s services Honoured by governor of Punjab

75th Independence Day Celebrations across IHHN campuses

Karachi, August 16, 2022 (PPI-OT): The 75th Independence Day was celebrated across Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN), on August 14, 2022. Senior Leadership along with employees, their families, and general public celebrated the Pakistan Independence Day with zest and fervour.

The flag hoisting ceremonies with a parade by security team were held at IHHN, Korangi Campus in Karachi, QF, NST and SMP Campus in Lahore, DHQ Badin and Recep Tayyep Erdrogan Hospital in Mazaffargarh. Senior Executive Director, IHHN, Dr. Zafar Zaidi, participated in the flag hoisting ceremony held at Karachi Campus.

The speech therapy department also celebrated with the patients and their families. Indus Yaqeen youth volunteers from Salim Habib University, celebrated the independence at Korangi campus with pediatric and oncology patients. District Health Officer, Badin, distributed gifts among the patients, under treatment at IHHN managed, DHQ, and Badin.

Independence Day celebrated at Sindh University with national zeal, enthusiasm

Jamshoro, August 16, 2022 (PPI-OT): The 75th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated on Sunday at the University of Sindh (SU) with national zeal and zest. Flag hoisting ceremony was organized by the Bureau of STAGS at University’s Hyder Bux Jatoi Pavilion where a large number of faculty members, officers, employees and people from different walks of life were present.

The Vice-Chancellor University of Sindh Professor (Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro hoisted the flag at 9:00 am sharp. The national anthem was also played to mark the day. A parade of police and Sindh University security personnel also took place at the ceremony.

In his presidential address, the Vice-Chancellor Professor (Meritorious) Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro termed the day very significant and said that on such a beautiful occasion, he wanted to tell that there was an important role of institutions in the development of countries, for which the University of Sindh has been providing quality higher education to the youth for the prosperity of Pakistan in order to make young generation the best citizens of the country.

He said that only educated youth could take Pakistan forward in the path of development because they were the future of the country. He said that every Pakistani should play his part honestly for the development and prosperity of the country and should serve Pakistan in a better way in every capacity.

He said that the responsibility of students studying at the University of Sindh was to get education without wasting time and acquire knowledge with full concentration. The Vice-Chancellor further said that time was precious, once gone, could never be returned. “We all should value time and fulfil our responsibilities honestly”, he said and added that Pakistan will be able to join the ranks of developed countries only when the people working in all sectors realise their individual responsibilities.

On the occasion, Dr. Kalhoro congratulated all those present at the event on the 75th Independence Day of the country and also prayed for the development and progress of the homeland. In the event, a cake was also cut and sweets were distributed to mark the country’s 75th Independence Day.

Later, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro along with teachers, officers and employees also participated in the plantation campaign ceremony organized by the Green Youth Movement Club (GYMC). The VC, Registrar, deans and others planted saplings on the road adjacent to Fatima Jinnah Girls Gymnasium of the university. The plantation campaign was attributed to Pakistan.

On the occasion, Sindh University Register Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Bhutto, Deans of various Faculties Dr Wazir Ali Baloch, Dr Khalil ur Rehman Khoumbati, Dr. Javeed Ahmed Chandio, Dr. Hamadullah Kakepoto, Directors of Institutes/ Centres Dr. Misbah Bibi Qureshi, Dr Shuja Ahmed Mahesar, Dr Mukesh Kumar Khatwani, Ghulam Murtaza Siyal, Director Sindh University Testing Centre Dr Aftab Chandio, Director Bureau of STAGS Dr Ghazala Panhwar, Additional Registrar Abdul Majeed Panhwar, Director Students Affairs’ Dr Muhammad Younis Leghari, Students’ Welfare Officer Allah Wadhayo Sahito, Provost Boys’ Hostels Dr Pasand Ali Khoso, Deputy Provost Abdul Hameed Mahesar, Dr. Nabi Bux Narejo, Mariyam Keerio, Dr Ghulam Akber Mahesar, Director Sports Ajved Ahmed Bhatti, Dr Akram Ansari, Allah Wadhayo Halepoto, Dr. Intzar Lashari and many others were also present.

On the other hand, Independence Day celebrations were also held in University of Sindh Elsa Qazi Campus Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas Campus, Laar Campus Badin, Thatta Campus and other campuses of the University of Sindh Jamshoro.

The independence jubilant was held at Dr. NA Baloch Model School Hyderabad where the students made speeches and presented tableus to pay glowing tributes to the creator of Pakistan and those who sacrificed their lives in line with their duties to save the country.

Later, the Green Youth Movement Club (GYMC) of the University of Sindh organized a plantation drive aiming at paying tribute to Pakistan on the eve of August 14, 2022 at the campus. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro planted a sapling to kick off the drive.

He on the occasion while expressing views said that everyone must plant at least one tree on this Independence Day in a bid to make the country green and pollution free. “We all must live together with peace, harmony and being honest to our country”, he said. On the occasion, Registrar, Deans, Directors, focal person GYMC and others also planted the saplings.
