CM Ch Parvez Elahi pays tribute to nine Pakistan Army sepoys for embracing martyrdom in a vehicle accident at Shujjaabad 

Lahore, August 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi paid tributes to nine Pakistan Army sepoys for embracing martyrdom in a vehicle accident in the area of Bagh Shujjaabad. CM prayed for the early recovery of the injured sepoys in the accident and expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolence with the family members of the martyred.

CM stated that the Punjab government equally shares the grief with the heirs of the martyred and expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolence with the bereaved families. CM extolled that the brave sons of our dear homeland attained the highest honour and embraced martyrdom during performing their duties.

Team IIUI Qualifies for Final of HULT PRIZE 

Islamabad, August 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):A team of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DME), Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) of International Islamic University (IIUI) after bagging numerous achievements on national level continues its journey of accomplishments as it qualifies among final 6 teams of the HULT PRIZE. As many as 28 teams competed to make place in the final where 6 teams including IIUI managed for the final stage competition will be taking place in New York on 20th Sep 2022 for the grand prize of 1Million USD.

The indigenously developed final year project of the students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology was supervised by Assistant Professor Engr. Javed Ahmed Khan Tipu and co-supervised by Dr. Muhammad Arif, Lecturer that took them to height of national and international triumphs. The team members included Hafiz Muhammad Muaz Suhaib, Muhammad Naveed, Haris Ahmed Khan and Saleha Usman of Department of Anthropology.

Earlier this team won the HULT PRIZE Regional Summit and also won the HULT PRIZE 2022 Global Accelerator Program in Boston, U.S.A. To reach this stage they competed with 200,000 teams worldwide initially and 28 teams in Global Accelerator Program.

The success story started from winning the funding of 600,000/- PKR from PSF, sponsored by UNESCO, UNDP and other famous companies for the development of the “Low-Cost Plastic Waste Recycling Machine”. This machine converts plastic waste into 3-D printing filament. This filament is then used as a raw material for manufacturing various 3-D printed products. Later on, this project took part in many National and International Competitions and finally the team won laurels on the global level in the final stage of the HULT PRIZE.

The team members have said that this is the result of the day and night efforts of all the group members for this worldwide competition. They have thanked the Chairman Department of Mechanical Engineering Dr. Adnan Aslam Noon and Dean FET Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh for their constant support and guidance which made these achievements possible and helped raise Pakistan’s flag internationally.

PTI women MNAs call on CM Punjab Ch Parvez Elahi, pay rich tributes to his public welfare projects

Lahore, August 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi met with the women MNAs of PTI and they paid rich tributes to the public welfare projects of the CM. Women MNAs while talking on this occasion lauded his Rescue 1122 as a historic public welfare project which has no precedent. Provision of free medicines in the emergency wards speaks volumes of the public service spirit of Parvez Elahi adding that announcement of free education upto graduation level after matriculation level is a magnificent education friendly step of Parvez Elahi, they lauded.

They appreciated him for taking exemplary steps for the welfare and betterment of the people in a short span of time and everyone acknowledges his welfare oriented steps. CM while talking on the occasion said that giving respect to women is part of our social, cultural and religious values. The rights which are granted to the women in the religion of Islam are umimaginable in the west. Allah Almighty has made us the Ameen of the great and beautiful relations of a mother, sister and a daughter and has granted respect as well as dignity to the women.

CM emphasised that no society or a nation can progress without the active participation of women in the practical field adding that the previous governments did not take any positive step to include the women in the national mainstream. CM highlighted that according to the vision of Imran Khan our government is determined to include the women in the national mainstream and will give respect, dignity, promotion as well as security to the women. CM Ch Parvez Elahi orders to launch an indiscriminate crackdown against the elements involved in display of weapons across Punjab 

Lahore, August 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi ordered to launch an indiscriminate crackdown against the elements found involved in display of weapons across Punjab. CM directed the Inspector General of Police to take an indiscriminate action against those elements found involved in display of weapons and strict implementation on the Prohibition of Display of Arms Act should be ensured. He directed to take strict legal action against such elements irrespective of their political affiliations. He vowed to eradicate such elements with an iron hand in order to improve law and order situation in the province.

CM met with the National and Provincial Assembly members belonging to Gujrat. Those who met with him included MNA Syed Faiz-ul-Hassan, MPAs Muhammad Arshad Chaudhry, Shujahat Nawaz, Muhammad Abdullah Warriach, Saleem Sarwar Jora, Muhammad Akhtar Hayat and Chaudhry Liaquat Ali. The Deputy Commissioner and DPO Gujrat were also present on the occasion. The Assembly Members lauded the decision of CM on taking swift action against the display of weapons in the province. The Assembly Members acknowledged his decision and remarked that his decision will play a pivotal role in maintaining law and order situation in the province.

Parvez Elahi stated that every moment is precious and vowed to undertake every work for the welfare of masses. He denounced that public welfare projects were put on the back burner during the tenure of PML-N. We restarted the public service works from where we had left them, he maintained. CM said that he still accepts Imran Khan as his Prime Minister and will fully support Imran Khan. CM stated that the people of Gujrat know how to side with someone adding that the people of Gujrat will accord an exemplary and a rousing welcome to Imran Khan on the 2nd September public rally.
