Pakistan Federation Baseball organizes a grand celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day where President Syed Fakhar Ali Shah cut the cake 

Lahore, August 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan Federation Baseball organized a grand ceremony of Independence Day of Pakistan. Federation’s President Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, who is also the Vice President of Baseball Federation of Asia, celebrated the Independence Day of Pakistan as he inaugurated the event and cut the cake. He along with PFB Executive Director Syed Manzar Shah, Head Coach Mail Mossadeq Hanif, Head Coach Female Tariq Nadeem, Legal Advisor Syed Fakhar Ameer Kazmi, Muhammad Yadin, Shahid Raza, Aamir Bhatti and other officials, who specially participated in the event, congratulated the nation with slogans of Pakistan Zindabad.

According to Media Manager Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh, kits and Pakistan colours were distributed to the players and officials of the Pakistan team participating in the “Baseball 5 Asia Cup” which is being held for the first time in Asia. The team later left for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia under the leadership of manager Syed Fakhar Ali Shah. As the event is being held for the first time, all the officials will also attend mandatory Baseball5 coaching course on August 15 and 16. The event will be held from August 17 to 19 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Fireworks displayed at IIUI on Independence Day 

Islamabad, August 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):Eye catching fireworks were displayed at the administration block of International Islamic university (IIU) in connection with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the country. Independence Day of Pakistan at IIUI commenced with a grand firework display outside the administration block on Saturday night.

The event was attended by military attaché of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Maj Gen. Awad Abdullah Alzahrani with his family, Vice President Administration and Finance, Dr. N.B. Jumani, Provosts, Students Advisors, Faculty members, officers, employees, their families and a large number of residents of twin cities. The male and female students of the university also witnessed the fireworks from the rooftops of hostel buildings.

Participants of the event were seen proudly carrying the national flags, with many dressed in flag-themed costumes and wearing face paint. Children ran around gleefully, overwhelmed. The university building was decked in green and white buntings and fairy lights. On the occasion, participants prayed for peace, solidarity, and prosperity of the country.

In his speech on the occasion, Dr. N.B. Jumani said that 14th August is a day to celebrate independence. He added that it’s a day that reminds us of all the efforts our elders put into the freedom struggle. He vowed that IIUI will be taking every necessary step to make this country strong and prosperous.

UVAS celebrates 75th Independence Day of Pakistan in befitting manner

Lahore, August 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore celebrated the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan in a befitting manner here on Sunday. Flag-hoisting ceremonies, Quran Khawani, prayers for the martyrs of Pakistan and cake cutting ceremony featured the day at all UVAS campuses.

The day began with Quran Khawani and special prayers in the university mosque for the martyrs and for the progress and prosperity of the country and university. Later a flag-hoisting ceremony was arranged at City Campus. Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof Dr Muhammad Azam along with Registrar Sajjad Hyder hoisted the national flag while faculty members, students, administrative staff and their families attended in a large numbers.

Addressing the audience, Prof Dr Muhammad Azam congratulated the university employees and students on celebrating 75th Independence Day of Pakistan. He highlighted the biography and lifelong struggle of Quid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for the attaining of separate homeland for Muslims. He asked them to work hard with honesty and dedication for the progress of the university and the country.

Sajjad Hyder called for abiding by the sayings of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and vision of Allama Iqbal. He said we must remember the services of our elders who had sacrificed their lives for the achievement of our motherland. He said two nation theories became the basis of the creation of Pakistan and we thank to Allah Almighty who bestowed us a separate homeland.

Similar flag-hoisting ceremonies were also held in other campuses of UVAS including Ravi Campus Pattoki, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS) Jhang, Para-Veterinary Institute Karor Lal-Eason Layyah and Khan Bahadur Chaudhary Mushtaq Ahmad Para-Veterinary Collage (KBCMA CVAS) Narowal.
