Guest Speaker Session on Mental Health Department of Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain

Lahore, August 06, 2022 (PPI-OT):UCP Business School arranged a Marketing and Supply Chain Gala on 20th June 2022. As the roots of consumer behaviour are in psychology, Dr Redha Khalid was invited by the department to shed light on some valuable insights from Psychology. Her discussion was particularly fruitful as she discussed Mental Health, Inferiority Complex, Peer Pressure, Aggression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Students participating in the Gala had two projects linked to clinical psychology, i.e. Mental Health and, Autism. Thus cross-questioning among students, faculty, and speakers ignited debate on healthy dietary requirements and societal perspective. Addiction to smartphones was also on the speakers’ agenda, and Dr Redha Khalid shared that eliminating children’s screen time is direly needed to help them naturally learn social behaviours. The Head of the department, Dr Irfan Sabir, presented Dr Redha with a token of appreciation and group photos were taken.
