Lahore, The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore commemorated the 86th death anniversary of philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal with a seminar focused on his profound love for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The event was held at the City Campus and included discussions on Iqbal’s contributions to Islamic thought and his enduring influence on modern ideals.
According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the seminar was organized by the Qiraat and Naat Society, Character Building Society, and Qirtas at UVAS. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr. Muhammad Younus, presided over the concluding session, emphasizing the importance of such forums for educating the youth on Iqbal’s philosophies. The event also featured Dr. Shahzad Mujaddidi from Dar ul Ikhlas Markaze Tehqeeqe Islami Pakistan as the chief guest and Dr. Tanveer Qasim from the Punjab Higher Education Commission.
Speakers at the seminar highlighted Iqbal’s messages of peace, brotherhood, and self-respect, which he conveyed through his poetry. The seminar aimed to raise awareness among students and staff about Iqbal’s teachings, especially his respect and love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and his lessons on high morals, justice, and democracy.
