UVAS Hosts Prize Distribution for Prime Minister Talent Hunt Youth Sports Judo League

Lahore, The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) recently celebrated the conclusion of the Prime Minister Talent Hunt Youth Sports Judo (Men and Women) Provincial League with a prize distribution ceremony held at the City Campus Sports Complex.

According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the event marked the end of a spirited competition among teams from various regions of Punjab, showcasing emerging talents in judo. The Lahore team clinched the first position with 130 points, followed by the Faisalabad team with 65 points and the Sargodha team with 60 points securing second and third places respectively.

The ceremony was graced by UVAS Vice-Chancellor, Meritorious Prof Dr. Muhammad Younas, who served as the chief guest and distributed trophies to the winning teams. The event also saw the presence of notable figures including former Hockey Olympian Khawaja Junaid, Secretary Punjab Curriculum Text Book Board Abdul Razak, and Regional Director Lahore HEC Mr. Ghafoor.

During his address, Prof Dr. Muhammad Younas highlighted UVAS’s commitment to enhancing sports activities alongside academic pursuits across its campuses. He emphasized that the league aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of fostering young talent for national and international sports arenas. The successful organization of the event was commended, particularly the efforts of the UVAS Directorate Sports Board in hosting the league, which drew participants from across Punjab, including remote areas.
