Rawalakot, A delegation from Lahore Garitharan University recently toured Jamia Poonch in Rawalakot, where they inspected various departments and engaged in discussions aimed at fostering academic collaborations between the two institutions.
According to University of Poonch Rawalakot, the seven-member delegation, which included faculty members from different disciplines, was hosted by Jamia Poonch’s Registrar, Dr. Abdul Rauf. During their visit, the delegation was briefed on the university’s activities and its prominent projects, including the Software Technology Park, which was highlighted as a unique and excellent initiative.
The members of the delegation from Lahore Garitharan University expressed their appreciation for the quality of education and the infrastructure at Jamia Poonch, noting that it compares favorably with major universities in Pakistan. They discussed the potential benefits of a bilateral relationship between the universities, emphasizing the importance of student and faculty exchanges and joint research projects to enhance educational and faculty development.
The visit included detailed presentations on the various departments and facilities at Jamia Poonch, with discussions on how both universities could collaborate on research and educational initiatives that would benefit their students and faculties, and also serve the local community in areas like health and agriculture.
