Turbat, The Education Department at the University of Turbat (UoT) successfully organized a Sociolinguistics Program on November 14, 2023, led by its 6th-semester students. This event included a diverse array of segments like speeches, drama, songs, funny news, mushaira, a panel discussion, games, and naath, all aimed at exploring the intricate relationship between language and society.

According to University of Turbat, the program was designed to delve into the connections between language and societal dynamics, emphasizing the role of language as not just a tool for communication but a powerful force influencing perceptions and interactions in society. The performances highlighted the functions of language in social life, stressing its importance in shaping societal norms and cultural influences. Mr. Manzoor Ahmed, Chairperson of the Education Department, lauded the students for their efforts in organizing this thought-provoking event, which contributes to the academic discourse in the field of sociolinguistics.
