Punjab Council of the Arts Hosts Literary Gathering to Commemorate Muharram-ul-Haram

Rawalpindi: Punjab Council of the Arts organized a Mehfil-e-Musallama, a literary gathering, to commemorate the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram. The event was presided over by Professor Jaleel Aali, with Dr. Farhat Abbas serving as the Chief Guest. The event featured poetic tributes to the martyrs of Karbala and emphasized the timeless values of patience and righteousness.

According to Punjab Arts Council, Professor Jaleel Aali highlighted in his presidential address that the tragedy of Karbala is more than a historical event; it is an eternal message for humanity, urging generations to uphold justice and moral courage. Chief Guest Dr. Farhat Abbas paid homage to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala, acknowledging their sacrifices as symbols of justice and freedom.

The session featured poets such as Rahat Sarhadi, Manzar Naqvi, and others, who presented verses honoring the martyrs of Karbala and reflecting on themes of sacrifice and truth. The audience warmly appreciated the performances. Director Muhammad Shakoor concluded the event by expressing gratitude to all participants and attendees.
