University of Turbat’s New Initiatives Aim to Elevate Academic Standards and Digital Skills

Turbat: The University of Turbat (UoT) has approved a series of strategic measures to enhance academic standards and improve digital competencies among its faculty and staff. The decisions were made during the 7th meeting of the University of Turbat Quality Circle (UTQC), chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, and attended by deans, departmental heads, and members of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC).

According to University of Turbat, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of aligning academic programs with changing market demands. To this end, he announced the organization of capacity-building workshops, both sponsored by HEC and conducted in-house, to help faculty and administrative staff integrate modern technology into their work. Additionally, the university plans to establish a Directorate of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and expedite the launch of an Alumni Tracer System to strengthen institutional performance.

The Vice Chancellor underscored that quality assurance is a collective responsibility, praising the efforts of the QEC and faculty in advancing the university's quality assurance measures.

Director QEC, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, provided an update on the completion of key milestones, including the Institutional Performance Evaluation, Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement, and Postgraduate Program Review cycles. During the meeting, several strategic measures were approved to boost academic standards and institutional performance, reflecting the university's commitment to quality education.
