Lahore, February 10, 2023 (PPI-OT):Senior lawyers Jhangir A. Jhoja, Ishtiaq A. Khan and Rana Zulfiqar called on former Chief Minister Punjab Ch Parvez Elahi here today (Friday). In the meeting, former provincial ministers Raja Basharat, Mian Mahudur Rashid, Ch Khalid, Omar Sidhu, Khabib Baloch, Sarmad Chatha, Mudassar Zahoor, Tayyab Kahloon, Rana Asad Munir, Mian Ehtasham and Habibur Rehman were also present. In the meeting, concern was expressed over the government making political opponents missing, unconstitutional measures and illegal arrests.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that entire focus of PDM leadership is on making the ministers, has any PDM leader been left out from becoming the minister, minister of state, special assistant to PM or head of any government department, 85 members’ strong cabinet is only and only for personal relief and perks, government sources are being spent on the ministers instead of providing relief to the people

Ch Parvez Elahi said that the lawyers community should support Imran Khan in the struggle for supremacy of the Constitution and law and against government’s illegal measures, the rulers are playing with the Constitution and law and planning to prolong their rule, the Constitution under which the caretaker government was formed the same Constitution election are essential to be held in 90 days, judiciary is now focus of hope of the people for supremacy of the Constitution, hopefully the judiciary will give historic verdict regarding holding of election within stipulated period and also take notice of incidents of political opponents being disappeared by the rulers

He said that those violating the Constitution should listen that the Constitution will make them accountable, the caretaker setup instead of holding of election is busy in posting of favoured and biased officers and vengeful activities, PDM leadership is clearly seeing its defeat in the election, out of fear of defeat is running from election and heading towards violating the Constitution.

He said that after picking the political opponents they are being made disappeared, caretaker government is busy instead of making opponents disappear instead of holding election, every day new bomb of inflation and price hike is being thrown, the Finance Minister is announcing to further burden the masses with Rs 170-billion taxes, Imran Khan is on the nerves of the rulers, due to massive popularity of Imran Khan the rulers are running away from the election.

Lahore, February 10, 2023 (PPI-OT):Former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi welcomed the decision of the Lahore High Court to hold elections in 90 days and said that justice was hoped for from the judiciary. The prestige of the judiciary has further increased. Ch Parvez Elahi said that the Election Commission should not delay after the decision of the Lahore High Court and announce the election schedule immediately.

Lahore, February 09, 2023 (PPI-OT):Wife and children of former Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Khan Bhatti, senior lawyers and former MPAs called on former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi here today (Thursday). They included Azhar Siddique advocate, Raja Basharat, Rai Zahoor, Mian Shafi Muhammad, Khubaib Zaman Baloch advocate, Rana Asad Munir advocate, Arshad Jhoja advocate, Rana Ali Raza advocate, Altaf Bhatti advocate, and Shakeel Atta Virk.

In the meeting, detailed discussion was held regarding political situation, cases being heard in the courts. It was decided that the Supreme Court will be approached in the case of Punjab Assembly Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti.

Making an appeal to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, wife and children of former Principal Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti said that life of my husband is in danger, Chief Justice of Pakistan should take immediate suo-moto notice of it, three days ago, my husband was arrested from Matiari while on his way to Sindh High Court, my husband was going to the Sindh High Court for securing his constitutional and legal right of bail, he was stopped from securing his constitutional and legal right, now today even after passage of three days whereabouts of my husband are not known, Secretary Lahore High Court Bar Amir Saeed Rawn was subjected to worst torture, my husband and other four persons arrested with him are also being subjected to worst torture.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that grade 22 officer Muhammad Khan Bhatti is missing for the last many days, his case has become the case of missing person, and petition will be filed in the Supreme Court. He said that the rulers are committing lawlessness by resorting to vengeful activities, they are not concerned about holding of election, their focus is only on vengeful activities, the rulers are running away from election in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, if the caretaker setup is not to hold election then what is their work, reports are getting presented by the IGP and Chief Secretary for creating obstructions in the election so that election in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are delayed there is no obstacle in National Assembly bye-election all obstructions are for general election, incompetent rulers are afraid of general election, they are making fun by deviating from the Constitution and law, every sort of excuses are being used.

Ch Parvez Elahi that PDM’s 13 parties of perplexed over popularity of Imran Khan, caretaker set up in Punjab is engaged in posting of officers who are partisan and involved in May 25 tragedy, the caretaker set up in Punjab is showing high speed and activeness in vengeful activities, Election Commission has also not taken steps for stopping posting of partisan officers, PTI had sought stoppage of posting of 20 officers in Punjab out of which 16 officers have been posted in Punjab, Election Commission should fulfill its responsibility regarding election, the governors are running away from giving election date, people are seeing ill-intention of the rulers, Insha-Allah they will take revenge from the pharaohs of the time in the general election.

Lahore, February 08, 2023 (PPI-OT):Lahore High Court (LHC) has approved Pakistan Muslim League leader Chaudhry Musa Elahi’s protective bail till February 15. Petition for Musa Elahi’s protective bail, filed through Barrister Salman Safdar, was heard by Justice Tariq Salim Shaikh. The court stopped police from arresting Musa Elahi till February 15, 2023.

Through the petition, Ch Musa Elahi submitted that the police have registered a false case of firing at the residence of N-League leader, I apprehend that Gujrat police will arrest me. It was further submitted in the petition that the N-League leader has got registered a case against Musa Elahi on a political basis. Ch Musa Elahi is son of former federal minister Ch Wajahat Hussain and Pakistan Muslim League (PML) candidate from NA-62 Gujrat.

Lahore, February 08, 2023 (PPI-OT):Punjab Assembly Speaker Sibtain Khan called on former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi here today (Wednesday). In the meeting, concern was expressed over the governors not giving the date for the election. Former ministers Raja Basharat, Bao Rizwan, Hafiz Mumtaz and PML leader Zain Bhatti were also present in the meeting.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that the federal government, caretakers setups and the governors are playing with the Constitution, those deviating from the Constitution will be committing breaking of the Constitution, gang of PDM is afraid of facing Imran Khan in the political field in the election, today political opponents are being disappeared or got arrested in false cases, Amir Saeed Rawn remain disappeared for one week, Punjab Assembly Secretary Mohammad Khan Bhatti is still disappeared.

He said that PDM’s so-called governance has ruined the economy, Shehbaz Sharif is fond of foreign tours only, show offs of Shehbaz Sharif are being exposed, Shehbaz Sharif has established the record of having the largest cabinet in the history, Shehbaz Sharif is begging from the world and showering on the ministers.

Ch Parvez Elahi further said that the caretaker government instead of holding the election is busy in pushing the political opponents to the wall, guests of two and half months should remain in their constitutional limits otherwise the law will take its own course, the caretaker government instead of holding election is doing all that which is not its mandate.

Lahore, February 07, 2023 (PPI-OT):Former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi held meeting the legal team here today (Tuesday) which included senior lawyers Mohsin Murtaza advocate, Khubaib Zaman Block Advocate, Waseem Sindhu Adv., Tayyab Usman Adv. and Asif Hafeez advocate. In the meeting, Raja Basharat, Sajid Bhatti, Bao Rizwan, Dr Tanvir, Ch Maqsood Sulehria, Tariq Bajwa and Zulfiqar Ghumman were also present.

The meeting deliberated on illegal measures of the caretaker government, stoppage of development projects by the caretaker setup and arrests of political opponents and decided on future strategy. The meeting also decided to approach the court against unconstitutional and illegal measures of the caretaker government.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that we condemn arrest of Secretary Punjab Assembly Mohammad Khan Bhatti from Sindh and raid in Lahore on his official residence, the caretaker government is violating sanctity of “chadar aur chardeevari”, brushing aside the election the caretaker setup is only busy in vindictive activities, people will take revenge of the vindictive activities of the caretaker government in the election, the people will respond through their power of vote in the election to unconstitutional and illegal measures of the rulers.

He said that that the caretaker setup is playing with the Constitution and law, the caretaker government formed for the election is itself running away from the election, the caretaker setup has no mandate other than the election, rulers are afraid of giving date for election in the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab Assembly was dissolved on January 14 but till now the Governor is not giving the date for the election, hope that the verdict of the judiciary in this regard will be historical.

Ch Parvez Elahi further said that PDM has no work other than implementing the agenda of victimization, Shehbaz Sharif and PDM have ruined the economy, all so-called expertise stands exposed, Shehbaz Sharif has experience of show-offs only, and the whole world has now seen his inefficient governance.
