Punjab University Institute of Applied Psychology organized a webinar entitled “How to Get Rid of Gaming Addiction”

Lahore, August 27, 2021 (PPI-OT):Institute of Applied Psychology has arranged a series of webinars for creating Mental Health Awareness as a part of Independence Day Celebrations 2021 that would be continued till the end of August, 2021. The webinar among the series, conducted on Wednesday, 26th August, 2021 was by Ms. Sadia Mustafa, who is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist serving at Government Shadab Training Institute for Mentally Challenged Children, Queens Medicare Clinic and EEG Centre, Lahore. She is a Child Clinical Placement Supervisor supervising MS and ADCP programs in a number of universities. She conducted the webinar on “How to Get Rid of Gaming Addiction”, at 11:30 am.

The webinar was conducted through the platform of Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab, chaired by the Director of Institute of Applied Psychology, Prof. Dr. Rafia Rafique, and moderated by Miss. Zunaira Tariq. The talk focused around one of the mental illnesses that is addiction and one of its type gaming addictions that has become very common in teenagers and young adults. The onset of the problem and the ways to counter it effectively were highlighted in the webinar. Moreover, the role of social and moral support was also discussed. The webinar was live streamed through the official Facebook page of IAP.
