Punjab University Collaborates with NAB in Anti-Corruption Awareness Campaign

Lahore, Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Khalid Mahmood emphasized the importance of using art as a medium to raise awareness against corruption. His remarks were part of the ‘Wall of Culture Painting Competition,’ an event jointly organized by Punjab University, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), and Brighto Paints, as part of an anti-corruption campaign.

According to University of the Punjab, the event was attended by NAB Director Imran Sohail, Additional Director Attia Azmat, Resident Officer-II Muhammad Kashif Nazir, Director of Student Affairs Dr. Muhammad Ali, faculty members, administrative officers, and students. Dr. Khalid Mahmood commended the collaborative efforts of NAB and Punjab University in delivering a positive message against corruption through such activities. He highlighted that such initiatives play a vital role in engaging the youth in meaningful discourse on societal issues.

Imran Sohail, representing NAB, reaffirmed the bureau’s commitment to fostering a corruption-free society and praised the students of Punjab University for their responsible citizenship. He noted that the students’ participation in the event through their creative work significantly contributed to spreading anti-corruption awareness.

During the event, students engaged in creating various sketches on the walls of Punjab University, visually articulating their stance against corruption and envisioning a corruption-free society. The event culminated with the distribution of certificates of appreciation and medals to students who participated in the competition, recognizing their artistic contributions to the cause.

This initiative signifies an innovative approach to combating corruption, blending art with social activism, and underscores the role educational institutions can play in shaping socially responsible individuals.
