Punjab Baseball League Draws Attention with Competitive Matches and International Participation

Lahore, The inaugural GSP Chief Minister Punjab Baseball League, under the banner of the Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) and sponsored by Global Sports Partner (GSP), continues to capture the enthusiasm of baseball enthusiasts both locally and internationally. This league, featuring some of the first officially organized baseball competitions in Pakistan, has garnered significant attention on social media and among the global baseball community.

According to Pakistan Federation Baseball, the presence of foreign coaches and the successful organization of the league represent major milestones for the sport in Pakistan. The league, noted for its vibrant matches and substantial participation, was commended by Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, Secretary General of PFB, who expressed the need for more baseball facilities nationwide to sustain and expand such competitions.

The event has been further highlighted by the attendance of former minister Begum Zakia Shahnawaz, MPA Malik Khalid Khokhar, and former MNA Mian Nauman as special guests. Their participation underscored the league’s growing prominence within sports and political circles.

Competitive play has been fierce, with Lahore Lions and Multan Mustangs showcasing their prowess in both women’s and men’s categories. The Lahore Lions triumphed over the Multan Mustangs with a score of 9-1 in a women’s match, whereas the Mustangs took revenge in the men’s game, defeating the Lions 7-5. Additionally, the Faisalabad Falcons demonstrated their strength by decisively winning against the Multan Mustangs 10-0 in another women’s match, with the Mustangs again responding strongly in the men’s category with a 5-2 victory.
