Lahore, Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Musrat Jamshed Cheema, has voiced concerns over the tactics employed against PTI in the recent by-elections, claiming these actions were evident and oppressive. Despite these challenges, Cheema affirmed the party’s commitment to the rule of law and constitutional governance in Pakistan, expressing a resolve to not back down under any circumstances.
According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Cheema highlighted the lack of a level playing field for PTI candidates in the by-elections, citing instances of registered cases and harassment for holding meetings. Despite these obstacles, he noted the resilience and peaceful demeanor of PTI workers, emphasizing their readiness to continue their struggle. Cheema also critiqued the current rulers, suggesting that their attempts to project a favorable image would soon be overshadowed by the realities of their governance and the economic conditions.
During a meeting with party workers, Cheema encouraged them to remain steadfast, suggesting that the challenges they face would soon be overcome. He celebrated the political awakening among the populace attributed to the efforts of PTI’s founder, which he described as the greatest success of the party’s enduring struggle.
