Karachi, The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi hosted an art exhibition titled “Haq Tu Yeh Hai Ke Haq Ada Na Hua” on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day, showcasing the works of famous artist Ali Azmat. The exhibition, which continues until December 26, was graced by the presence of Dr. Syed Junaid Ali Shah, the Provincial Minister for Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, and Muhammad Ahmad Shah, the Provincial Minister of Information, Minority Affairs, Social Protection, and President of the Arts Council.
According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the exhibition was attended by Secretary of the Arts Council Ijaz Farooqui, the artist Ali Azmat himself, and other dignitaries. The exhibition’s theme pays tribute to Quaid Azam, with the Provincial Culture Minister praising the artist’s work. Muhammad Ahmad Shah expressed the sentiment that the nation’s performance has not yet met the expectations set by Quaid, and efforts are underway to uphold his legacy.
Dr. Syed Junaid Ali Shah, speaking to the media, emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring Pakistan’s history and national heroes. He expressed concern that the younger generation is losing touch with these figures. The minister announced a series of events continuing from December 24 through New Year’s night, aimed at enhancing national pride and cultural awareness.
One of the significant initiatives mentioned by Dr. Shah was the introduction of the Sindh awards, recognizing individuals who have made notable contributions to Sindh’s culture and sports. He underscored the media’s role in portraying a positive image of Pakistan globally and reiterated the country’s responsibility to uphold the ideals of Quaid e Azam in governing the nation.
Furthermore, Dr. Shah revealed plans for improving nationalistic sentiment, such as displaying Pakistani flags across Karachi and enhancing the content on the Sindh Archives website. The Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday will be celebrated in conjunction with the minority community on Christmas, including a concert and culminating in sports events and marathons.
The exhibition, which runs until December 26, is part of a broader initiative to foster a deeper appreciation for Pakistan’s cultural heritage and national figures.
