Karachi, April 30, 2023 (PPI-OT):Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that his party will not be a victim of any expediency on the rights of workers, because if the workers are prosperous, then Pakistan will be prosperous.
He further said that workers and farmers will be represented in the assemblies, while in the upcoming general elections, if the people give a mandate, Pakistan People’s Party will start schemes like Benazir Amador Card for workers across the country like Sindh. According to the statement issued by Media Cell Bilawal Hawass, the PPP Chairman said in his message on the occasion of International Labor Day that the backbone of the society is the workers. Today is a day to pay homage to the martyrs of Chicago and salute the workers, farmers and labourers of Pakistan.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that during the tenure of Imran Khan, as much oppression as happened to the workers, farmers and salaried class, the country’s history. I’ve never been before. Imran Khan’s policies favouring his ATMs and rich classes have set new records of inflation, unemployment and poverty in Pakistan, the consequences of which are now being felt by the entire nation. He said that today Pakistan People’s Party is struggling to save the poor people from the destruction of Imran Khan regime. The PPP Chairman said that it is an open history that the talk of the rights of the working class in this country and their implementation started after the establishment of the Pakistan People’s Party.
For the first time in the country, the labor policy was issued and the rights of trade unions were introduced in the country by Prime Minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on February 10, 1972. He said that Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto took revolutionary measures for the rights and protection of workers during her shortest period of government.
He said that the Awami government led by President Asif Ali Zardari launched the Benazir Employees Stock Option Scheme (BESOS). And gave free shares to the employees of national institutions. He further said that President Asif Ali Zardari has also increased the salaries and pensions of the same legislation.
Make it more powerful to empower and protect them. He also reiterated his determination that Pakistan People’s Party will not retreat even an inch from the mission of protecting the rights of the working classes of Pakistan and their prosperity.
