Pakistan Celebrates World Murtazavi on Hazrat Ali’s Birth Anniversary

Rawalpindi, Pakistan observes the birth anniversary of Ameerul Momineen Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS) with nationwide celebrations known as “World Murtazavi Celebration” today. The day, marked with various religious and cultural events, honors the legacy of Hazrat Ali, a revered figure in Islam.

According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the celebration of World Murtazavi is set to encompass all of Pakistan, including small and large cities, villages, towns, and the regions of Gilgit, Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir. The day will begin with the recitation of the Holy Quran after the Fajr prayer in mosques across the country. In Islamabad and the Rawalpindi region, organizations will host Milad celebrations featuring Naat Khans, Sana Khans, Qaseedah, Manqbat Khans, Zakir Yin Azam, and Ulemas, who will highlight the virtues and merits of Ameerul Momineen Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib.

The central celebrations will take place at various notable locations, including Central Imam Bargah Qasr, Imam Musa Kazim, Darbar Aliya Shah Chen Chirag Badshah, and others. Dr. Ali Mehdi, Chairman of the World Murtazvi Committee of TNFJ, emphasized the widespread respect for Hazrat Ali (AS), not only within the Muslim world but also among non-Muslims. He noted that Hazrat Ali’s life and character are a message against global colonialism and that difficulties can be overcome by emulating his teachings.

The occasion is also marked by the significance of the Nishan-i Haider, Pakistan’s highest military honor, symbolizing courage and bravery. Dr. Mehdi called for effective measures for special arrangements during the programs and urged the media to provide comprehensive coverage of these events.

In connection with the three-day international celebration of Murtazavi, religious ceremonies and events are being held in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Speakers, including Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Maulana Malik Ijlal Haiderul Hyderi, and others, addressed the gatherings, emphasizing the teachings of Hazrat Ali on courage, knowledge, mysticism, obedience, and servitude. The celebrations included special prayers and reflections on Hazrat Ali’s impact on humanity.
