Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Outlines PPP’s Commitment to Pakistan’s Progress in Bhalwal Rally

Bhalwal, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressed a significant gathering in Bhalwal, Sargodha, emphasizing the party’s dedication to overcoming Pakistan’s current socio-economic challenges. Zardari expressed his pleasure to be among the party’s faithful in Punjab and acknowledged the large turnout despite the harsh weather.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Zardari’s speech focused on the nation’s dire need to move past traditional politics of hatred and division, which he believes have only caused destruction in society. He stated that the PPP is contesting elections with a clear focus on serving the people, farmers, laborers, and youth, unlike other political parties that are primarily driven by their ambitions for power.

Zardari unveiled a 10-point socioeconomic charter aimed at alleviating the current crises, positioning it as an agreement between the PPP and the Pakistani people. He criticized other political figures for their lack of clear manifestos and accused them of exploiting the common people when in power.

The PPP’s promises include doubling incomes, providing 300 units of free electricity to deserving citizens, constructing three million houses with women as the primary owners, and regularizing informal settlements. The party also plans to expand the Benazir Income Support Programme and provide interest-free loans to women for economic empowerment.

In agriculture, the PPP aims to support farmers with the ‘Benazir Kissan Card’ and ‘Benazir Mazdoor Card’ for crop insurance and social security. Zardari credited former President Zardari for prioritizing farmers, which led to Pakistan becoming an exporter of sugar and wheat.

For the youth, the ‘Youth Card’ initiative is designed to assist in employment, while the ‘Bhook Mitao Programme’ aims to eradicate hunger. The PPP also plans to build healthcare institutions and educational establishments across Punjab and the country.

Zardari insisted that the PPP’s promises are not hollow and are backed by a history of fulfilled commitments during the tenures of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He contrasted this with the suffering caused during the eras of past dictators and leaders like Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan.

Concluding his address, Zardari called upon the people to choose wisely in the upcoming elections, emphasizing that the real power lies with them. He also announced the PPP’s candidates for Sargodha and adjoining areas, symbolizing the party’s readiness for the electoral contest.

Zardari’s speech in Bhalwal signals the PPP’s robust campaign for the forthcoming elections, focusing on a transformative agenda for Pakistan.
