Lahore, March 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):The National Assembly (NA) Speaker, Mr. Asad Qaiser, dubbed the students as blessed for getting education from the University of Lahore (UOL) during a seminar on “World of Opportunities” held at Defence Road Campus on February 10, 2022. “You are blessed to be here at UOL as students because the University has all what is required to realize your careers”, he said.

Mr. Qaiser further communicated that government is setting up a feasible environment for creating 10 million jobs to empower the youth. He further said that a broader sense of vision is still needed in order to achieve the desired goals and to bring prosperity in the country.

He advised the youth to set big goals if they wish to be like Prime Minister Imran Khan and late Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan (Pakistani Nuclear Physicist and Metallurgical Engineer). “All professions are equally important, therefore, our students should put in their best efforts to prove their mettle in the areas of their interest,” he maintained. Mr. Qaiser additionally guided the students to work hard in order to register positive results which will later open broad opportunities for them.

He also shared his personal experiences with the participants, saying, “I started my career as an educationist and worked for the students of a well-known school in my town. I have set a school chain in my native town, where more than 16,000 students are studying,” he explained.

Prior to Speaker’s address, Dr. Muhammad Ashraf (Rector, UOL) welcomed him and gave a brief introduction about the UOL and its working environment. He further highlighted the role of private institutions in education sector and emphasized on the establishment of more universities in Pakistan for the development of the country.
