LAHORE, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IE University, Spain, initiating a partnership in the field of education. The agreement was marked by the visit of a high-level Spanish delegation led by H.E. Jose Antonio De Ory, the Ambassador of Spain to Pakistan.
According to Lahore University of Management Sciences, The MoU aims to foster collaborative efforts in knowledge exchange between the two institutions. Dr. Manuel Muniz, Provost of IE University, outlined the university’s expansion plans and the potential for collaboration, including faculty exchange programs.
IE University, known for its diverse student body and flexible learning systems, emphasizes inclusivity and offers a comprehensive academic experience. Learning Spanish is encouraged but not mandatory for admission, though it is a graduation requirement, providing students ample opportunity to learn the language.
LUMS, a premier academic institution in South Asia, is renowned for its interdisciplinary approach and international partnerships. The university’s ‘Learning without Borders’ philosophy and digital learning platform, LUMSx, are testaments to its commitment to providing a holistic and inclusive educational experience.
Dr. Tariq Jadoon, Acting Vice Chancellor and Provost of LUMS, expressed gratitude for the partnership, anticipating joint research initiatives and student-faculty exchanges that will strengthen ties between Pakistan and Spain.
