Lahore, May 31, 2022 (PPI-OT):On May 23, 2022, the Career Management Cell at the Lahore Business School (LBS), UOL and the Meezan Bank signed an agreement aimed at promoting Islamic Banking.
Mr. Shayan Ahmed Baig (Deputy Head, SCD, and Karachi), Mr. Muhammad Adeel Kamran (SCD, Lahore), Mr. Muhammad Saleem (Senior Vice President), Mr. Mohsin Masood (Area Manager), Mr. Najam Tariq Saeed (Regional Sales Manager), and Syed Aetizaz ul Hassan Gillani (Regional Channel Manager) represented Meezan Bank. The LBS was represented by Dr. Rabia Raoof (Dean, Lahore Business School), Dr. Osama Naseem (HoD, Lahore Business School), Mr. Muazzam Rauf (Head, Career Management Cell), Mr. Salman Azam Jioya (Team lead, External linkages), Mr. Usman Islam (Team lead, Placement) and Mr. Shaan-e-Muhammad (Faculty member, LBS).
Later, a seminar was also arranged to educate the students about the differences between conventional and Islamic banking. Mr. Baig gave a presentation about the importance of understanding the principles of Islamic banking.
