Lahore, In a significant move towards the successful hosting of the 14th South Asian Games, the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) held a key coordination meeting at the Pakistan Olympic House in Lahore. This session aimed to solidify plans for the multi-sport event, which Pakistan is set to host.
According to Pakistan Olympic Association, the meeting was attended by top officials, including Syed Mohammad Abid Qadri Gillani, President of the POA, along with the Federal Secretary and Additional Secretary of the IPC. The discussions focused on the organization and management of the Games, emphasizing the vital collaboration required to ensure the event’s success.
An update was provided on the measures already in motion, including a previous meeting with all National Sports Federations on March 9, 2024, at the POA House. The Secretary-General of the POA offered an in-depth briefing on various aspects such as venues, schedules, sports disciplines, and financial plans, all crucial for the forthcoming competitions.
The consensus underscored the importance of continuous cooperation between the POA, IPC, and the Punjab government to navigate the logistics of hosting the Games in Lahore.
