International Islamic University Islamabad Facilitates Islamic Training Program for Students

Islamabad, The Dawah Academy of the International Islamic University Islamabad, in conjunction with the Regional Dawah Center RDC, Karachi and the Department of Islamic Studies at the Federal Urdu University, successfully hosted the “Islamic Training Program for Students”. Approximately 30 students, hailing from varied departments including Islamic Studies and Psychology, actively participated in this program.

According to a news release by International Islamic University Islamabad, During the workshop’s inauguration, Dr. Shahzad Chana, the Program Coordinator, elucidated the objectives of the program and introduced the attendees to the Da’wah Academy and its initiatives. Following this, Dr. Syed Aziz ur Rahman, the head of the Dawah Center, delved into the subject of “Seerah in the first three centuries”. He emphasized the significant contributions of early Seerah writers like Urwa bin Zubair, Ibn Shahab Zahri, and Ibn Ishaq, among others.

One of the workshop’s distinguished trainers, Nisar Musa Baloch, illuminated the “Islamic concept of leadership”. He emphasized that the path to societal progress and nation-building hinges on upright, insightful, competent, and compassionate leaders. His discourse drew parallels from the lives of notable Islamic leaders throughout history.

Speaking on the pivotal role of “Team Management”, trainer Tasnimul Haque Farooqi underscored the intrinsic value of teamwork, effective planning, and a vision-centric approach to ensure successful outcomes.

The program also spotlighted the dynamics of media. Professor Dr. Mahmood Ghaznavi, former head of the Department of Mass Communication at the University of Karachi, weighed in on the positive and adverse impacts of media. He advocated for harnessing the potential of print, electronic, and social media platforms to foster peace and societal harmony, cautioning against succumbing to sensationalized propaganda that detracts from societal well-being.

The program also housed a comprehensive session on research paper formulation, led by Dr. Syed Aziz ur Rahman. He acquainted the students with the nuances of contemporary research processes, detailing various stages of research paper preparation. The program culminated in the distribution of certificates from the Dawah Academy to all attendees.
