Islamabad, The International Decade of Sadiq Al Muhammad (AS), a series of commemorations for Hazrat Jafar ibn Muhammad, the sixth successor of the Prophet of Islam, began today with an emphasis on security and public engagement. The observance, lasting from the 15th to the 25th of Shawwal, includes funeral and coffin processions across the country, with expected full coverage by mass media.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the event was inaugurated by Aghasid Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi, the leader of the Jafariya community. Professor Ghulam Abbas Haidari, Deputy Convenor of TNFJ, addressed the committee overseeing the nationwide gatherings and emphasized the profound impact of Imam Jafar Sadiq’s teachings, especially in times of global hardship. The professor highlighted that adhering to these teachings is crucial for alleviating contemporary challenges. The committee has formally requested the government to ensure stringent security measures throughout the event to facilitate safe and orderly processions.
