German Professor Discusses Cultural Challenges and Educational Opportunities in Rawalkot

Rawalkot, German Professor Peter Josef Boeck addressed a workshop at Jamia Poonch Rawalkot’s Department of Computer Sciences and Information Technology, discussing the cultural differences between Germany and Pakistan, and the challenges faced by students seeking higher education opportunities in Germany. The event marked the first day of a series of workshops aimed at assisting final semester students in navigating international education landscapes.

According to University of Poonch Rawalakot, the workshop included talks on the evolving cultural norms in Germany compared to those in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. Professor Boeck, noted for his expertise in cross-cultural dialogue, highlighted the significant shift in German societal values over the past fifty years, including the diminishing influence of traditional religious structures. He also emphasized the importance of adhering to constitutional and human rights laws in Germany. Participants included Registrar Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf, Chairman Dr. Adnan Ahmad Rafiq, Dr. Irfan Javed, and other faculty members.

During the session, Professor Boeck also engaged with students, answering various questions and stressing the importance of adapting to cultural changes, particularly in educational settings, as globalization continues to make the world more interconnected.
