Grand Mufti of Bosnia Prays for Palestine and Islamic Unity at Islamabad’s Faisal Masjid

Islamabad, In a spiritually resonant gathering at the Faisal Masjid, Dr. Husein ef Kavazovic, the Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led the Friday prayers, invoking blessings for Palestine, the Islamic world, and the deepening of ties between Bosnia and Pakistan.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the Grand Mufti was warmly received by Mr. Nasir Farid, the Incharge of Protocol and Public Relations at IIUI. During his visit, Dr. Kavazovic was congratulated on his upcoming receipt of the Sitare e Quaid e Azam Award, a prestigious honor bestowed by the President of Pakistan on March 23rd, acknowledging his contributions to fostering Islamic unity and understanding.

The prayer session saw the participation of Emin Cohodarevic, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Pakistan, alongside officials from the International Islamic University, diplomats from various Muslim countries, as well as notable religious and political figures. The event attracted thousands of attendees from the twin cities, highlighting the significant place the Faisal Masjid holds as a center for Islamic gatherings in the capital.

During the prayers, the Grand Mufti emphasized the importance of solidarity among the Islamic nations and prayed for the alleviation of hardships faced by Muslims in Gaza. He also acknowledged the strong bonds of friendship that exist between Bosnia and Pakistan, reflecting a shared history and mutual support.
