Islamabad, During a significant meeting at the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) National Headquarters, His Excellency Alfred Grannas, the Ambassador of Germany to Pakistan, and PRCS Chairman Sardar Shahid Ahmed Laghari emphasized the crucial role of humanitarian service and discussed bolstering the long-standing partnership between PRCS and the German Red Cross.
According to Pakistan Red Crescent Society, Ambassador Grannas praised the PRCS for its critical contributions to easing the plight of Pakistan’s vulnerable populations, reflecting on the four-decade-long collaboration with the German Red Cross. The meeting explored various avenues for deeper bilateral cooperation and the shared objective of improving humanitarian conditions.
Chairman Laghari briefed the Ambassador on PRCS’s recent initiatives, including rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts post-floods, and ongoing projects with the German Red Cross aimed at disaster risk reduction and management.
